I’m indebted to RL Narayanan residing in Mumbai, who alerted me to the Thirukkural, the classic Tamil literature from the 4th BCE. It is considered one of the greatest works ever written on ethics and morality and from which this week’s magnet comes:
The stalks of water-flowers are proportionate to the depth of water; so is men’s greatness proportionate to their minds.
The more open we are to new ideas and fresh perspectives the more we grow and expand our personal boundaries and capacity. This is an important aspect of the Challenge C in the 4C’s of Mental Toughness.
